Controversial has always been one of the majar factors of superstardom, no matter good or bad. And ever since Madonna had made it big, everytime whenever there's some controversial diva out, ppl would start comparing and relating. But over the years, there has only been very few that's actually been blessed privately & publically by the Queen of Pop and became the Princess of Pop (they r Kylie, Britney & Xtina respectively). Also, there's this new Lady of Pop! C'mon, ppl! Pls stop the comparision! So tired of all those! Each and everyone of them is so unique in just too many ways!

Xtina's "Not Myself Tonight" video had been compared to Madonna's "Express Yourself" (apart from the similarities with GaGa's "Bad Romance") as it is a tribute to Madge! But now, "Alejandro"?! Gosh! Is it the sitting on top of the stairs over looking at naked boys? Or is it the vest with the bell pants dancing in black & white?? i can see how anyone could "related" to Madonna, but that's not even close to be claimed as her move to "try to be like Madonna."

Back to the video itself, the most ridiculous thing to say about the video is that those were "sexual acts!" As for all visual stuffs, from movies to music videos or a commercial, if u get it, u do; but if u don't get it, u just never will! Especially for a music videos, there won't be a plot u need to read to be able to understand it. But for those who do not get it, it is a video simply about the love of the military! GaGa was protrayed as the God of Love who also look after the military guys as love is for everyone, male or female, & for all religions. Those "sexual acts" were simply the struggling of the soldiers & the swallowing of rosery probably symbolised that love should not be bounded by some religious morals...... So it's nothing offensive to any religion that i could find.

i feel sorry for those who do not get the video! But well, i seriously do not think i care for any of those who do not get it anyway... ha ha! Here's the official short version of the video for everyone to enjoy!

After the very successful North American tour, the Princess of Pop was so touched & moved by the love of her American fans. She was so determined to wanting to conquer the other side of the Atlantic once more. By teaming up with the mastermind behind the Queen of Pop's "Confession of the Dancefloor," Mr. Stuart Price; Kylie Minogue is set to release her 11th studio album, "Aphrodite," on July 5th. The album is simply a dance pop album with 12 songs. Unfortunately with the market nowadays, chart performances can no longer reflect if an album is really good or not; and that pop dance is not really the "mainstream" thing anymore. i doubt if we'll be able to see any ground breaking chart records. But i m sure that she'll definitely conquer the gay & club scene this year!

The lead single, "All The Lovers," has already been making so much impact all across the world; with a pretty amazing Benetton ad like music video just released last week (which i definitely think is also very US-friendly).

Here's a 9.5mins teaser with half of the album tracks. It sounds pretty amazing to me as all of the songs are with catchy chorus, which i do think the Americans would love. It consists (& in the order) of:

Get Outta My Way
Cupid Boy
Can't Beat The Feeling
Too Much
Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)
Aphrodite
Aphrodite (Album Sampler)  Kylie Minogue

Xtina's back with a very vicious & gay friendly video! Is it true that she's been doing this for over a decade? Or is it the aftermath of the GaGa effect? Well, i would say it's definitely the later as the happily married Xtina is back to where she left off at her top a few years ago, dancing with naked boys! What do you think?

i think the TV industry is definitely very different from the Music industry in just too many ways. When an artist/singer is getting hot with the momentum to go bigger, there simply shouldn't be any break nor rest on releases. But that could hardly work for any TV series as it is very difficult to keep producing another season better than the previous one. Sadly, almost no TV network would ended some TV show at it's best. The sadder it is, is to see a TV show needing to end due to poor ratings...

Ugly Betty has given me lots of laughters and tears during the past few years. i m so missing it already! And also, there's been lots of great music that came with/from the show. Here's the last song played during the grand finale... a wonderful wonderful song!

i hv to admit that my love for Glee wasn't instant at all. After highly recommended by a couple of best friends, i only started watching the show after the completed first half of the season has been out on DVDs. It was a pretty slow start, but my love for it grows gradually. My turning point would be that when the gay character, Kurt Hummel, came out to his father and that his father continues his love & support enormously. Got me shed a little tear, haha!

During the 3 months break of Glee since after xmas, it was like a tidal wave crossing the ocean and hit UK big time! Becos of the delay in both the showing & the official releasing of the soundtrack albums, the success came a few months behind. But what matters is that it took UK & rest of EU by storm. And one very interesting thing is that; with the Glee effect, Journey's 1981 hit, "Don't Stop Believin'," became a giant hit all over again after almost 30 years & got the attention of a whole new age range of audiences!

Glee has returned on tuesday with a big bang, as report of 21 million people in the US has watched the premier of the volume 2 of season one after the showing of American Idol.

I think it must be like the dream of every Madonna's fan wishing to be able to remake the video of "Vogue." After 20 years & with Madonna's team giving it a green light, Glee has the most vicious rival character of the show, Sue Sylvester, to remake the video in tiny little details frame by frame. The video premiered also on tuesday as a teaser to next week's episode, a tribute to Madonna. i m totally blown away and amazed by the video! i so love that they only added some Glee/hilarious stuff during the last minute of the video as the first two minutes was serious and shot beautifully.

Although it was reported that 10 songs were cleared with Madonna, but only 9 of them made it to the digital release of the soundtrack (with which "Borderline" & "Open Your Heart" will be a medley), Glee: The Music, The Power Of Madonna. It will be made available shortly after the episode airing next tuesday nite. Will need to stay tune to find out if "Crazy For You" has really been used but only not available for release just yet.

Also note that a new character has been introduced to the show with openly gay Tony Awards nominated broadway actor, Jonathan Groff. Guess i won't spill any beans here except that he has signed on to be featured on 5-6 episodes. He will also be featured in alot of the songs on the show & has sang on 4 out of the 8 Madonna songs. Here's the first of the two big closing numbers of the night, along with "Burning Up"....

p.s. there will also be an episode tribute to Lady GaGa towards the season finale plus a rumoured GaGa cameo appearance! Can't wait!

After the debut single, "Yesterday," didn't make much impact in US (but is actually stirring up in UK right now), Toni Braxton released two singles to follow-up. Here's the video of the mainstream single with 22 official remixes released at the same time!

if u still hvn't heard that it's Madonna special at Glee next tues, u must be living on another planet! here's the complete video of Vogue to celebrate it's original release 20 years ago!!!

Christina Aguilera is back with a brand new album, "Bionic," which will be releasing in June. The amazing album cover has been released last week and here's the first single, "Not Myself Tonight."

Pretty much it's the continuation of what's been left off since a year & half ago. Again, sounding great with the electro pop dance direction; but definitely nothing is new about it though. Can't wait for the whole album to drop! i m keeping my fingers crossed & hoping that it's not going to be some GaGa copycat in the end...

It took perhaps a million years and another movie for Janet Jackson to finally releasing another haunting ballad. She's been all around with tv appearances promoting her new movie, "Why Did I Get Married Too?" during the past week. And here's the amazing song from the movie, "Nothing."

i don't believe there is anything else i need to say anymore...

There r only very few artists that hv a certain spot reserved within my heart. No matter what they hv done or whatever they hv released, i m still so much in love with them after all these years. And one of them would be the very daring & inspiring lead singer of 80's mega group Culture Club.

Boy George has always been releasing singles from time to time. But looks like that we r finally going to hv a full release this year! The first single off the up-coming album is the amazing "Amazing Grace." Another club-house tune with amazing remixes by Kurd Maverick, The Sharp Boys, Filo & Peri Tech, Anders Nyman & Darren Baille...

About a year ago, i was telling one of my best friends that i was so surprise that it had been so long that no follow-up english material had been released from Shakira. Only shortly after that, Shakira dropped "She Wolf." Disappointingly, i m only ok with all of her dance remixes from that english album of the same title. Surprisingly, i really love her fourth single (both album version & the Freemason remix)! And more surprisingly is the video with my favourite tennis player of the time being... the sexy Rafael Nadal!

Ever since Madonna used Meck's "Feels Like Home" to do a mashup for "Like A Prayer" during the Stick & Sweet Tour, the search for the song has been bigger & bigger. The closest we'd got was the one Pete Tong did during his shows but was never released officially. Now, shortly b4 the release of Madonna's tour DVD, record company is re-releasing Meck's song with brand new mixes & renamed it into "Feels Like A Prayer." But none of the mixes so far have got Madonna's vocal (i guess they couldn't cleared the rights) probably so that DJs can ride them with "Like A Prayer" when spinning. Here's an official teaser video edit for the song with a Madonna-sound-alike vocal!

It took another 9 whole months for Charice to release her 2nd single. i totally do not understand how calculated her releases hv seemed to be... i also don't understand how David Foster has influenced artists like Charice and Katharine McPhee. Well, i hope that Katharine's major flop could be some experiences to hv learned from and thus make a better path for Charice.

After a rather short-lived itunes chart topping debut single, Charice is now back with a very pop song, "Pyramid." The album version is featuring a mild rap by Sean Kingston. i do not see any chemistry at all on the rap part. The remixed digital single which will also be released tmr, 23 Feb, with remixes by Barry Harris, Jonathan Peters & Dave Aude (and with the rap dropped). Although the names seem pretty old and too classic, but i guess it's a good start to introduce Charice to the dancefloor and the gay scene.

Powerful vocal always sound good in club tunes & anthems. Welcome to my club, Charice! It has been a really long wait!

It's undeniable that 2009 has been the year of Lady GaGa! She's all over the world with hits after hits. She already managed to pull out 6 singles out from her massive selling debut album during the past year an half. While "Paparazzi" is not showing any sign of weakening just yet, here's a newly recorded song from her to-be-released soon repackaged debut, "The Fame Monster." It will feature a 2nd disc with 8 brand new songs which she wrote & recorded over the past year while she was on the road touring around the world. i was lucky enough to hv watched her show back a little while ago when she dropped by the Venetians @ Macau, China. Most of everyone was stunned by her vocal ability during live although not everyone could really appreciate her wardrobe.

"Bad Romance" will be released as a single on 23rd Nov, the same day as the album. It will also feature new remixes of "Just Dance" & "Paparazzi" as b-sides! Can't wait for that!

Madonna gave a very touching speech to tribute Michael Jackson last Sunday at the opening of 2009 MTV VMAs in New York's Radio City. i was moved and i couldn't agree more with her on the fact that sometimes we hv to loose things before we truly appreciate them. Although it's sad, but it's so true!

So now, it's the time that we shall celebrate! It is time that we shall celebrate with Madonna on her 26 years of journey with Warner Bros.! "Celebration" is the Queen Of Pop's third greatest hits collection; but just might probably be the first to be released after parting ways with WEA. Only now that it's finally released, we know the actual track listing & version used on this compilation...

The track listing for the "Deluxe Version" (2CDs) :-
Disc: 1
1. Hung Up
2. Music (2s)
3. Vogue [Immaculate Version] (Is)
4. 4 Minutes
5. Holiday (Id)

8. Into The Groove (Id)
9. Like A Prayer (Id)

15. Secret [Radio Edit] (2s)
16. Erotica [Radio Edit] (2s)
17. Justify My Love (Is)
18. Revolver

Disc: 2

2. Material Girl (Id)
3. La Isla Bonita (Id)
4. Papa Don't Preach (Id)
5. Lucky Star [Immaculate Version] (Is)
6. Burning Up
7. Crazy For You [Immaculate Version] (Is)
8. Who's That Girl
9. Frozen* (2d)
10. Miles Away [Radio Edit]
11. Take A Bow (2d)
12. Live To Tell (Id)
13. Beautiful Stranger (2d)
14. Hollywood
15. Die Another Day
16. Don't Tell Me [Radio Edit] (2d)
17. Cherish [Immaculate Version] (Is)
18. Celebration

* "Frozen (Radio Edit)" is included instead on the plain version of compilation
** all "Album Versions" unless otherwise indicated
*** (Is) same version also appears on Immaculate Collection
**** (Id) different version also appears on Immaculate Collection
***** (2s) same version also appears on GHV2
****** (2d) different version also appears on GHV2

The actual cover is slightly different from what was released orginally with prints & lyrics all over the background. And the cover for the plain one CD version is also used for the digital release with different faded pics of Madonna on background & a different color tone.

i guess only her manager, Guy Oseary, will know exactly why are the choices on the versions used here on this compilation. But clearly they are planning to replace the Immaculate Collection with this new release as 8 exact song (version) out of the 17 tracks on Immaculate Collection has been used. Please note that all songs are digitally remastered though! The digital Immaculate Collection has already been pulled from iTunes and made unavailable no more.

As reported, all 3 newly recorded tracks for this compilation got to see their light of day. The title song & the 1st single for the compilation, "Celebration;" is making a very poor & disappointing performance worldwide, dispite the fact that it has already been the 40th Billboard #1 Club Play single. Even with the early push of album release in UK, the single is predicted to only be able to make it into top 3. And a surprise move was made when the Benny Benassi Remix Edit has been used for both versions of the video. The remix is included as a bonus track to the digital album.

i actually quite like the song and i think that Paul Oakenfold really had done a very good job. He has another collaboration with Madge, "It's So Cool;" which is also a featured bonus track to the digital album. Another fun dance tune and i bet bootleg remixes will soon be storming at clubs!

The already annouced 2nd single, "Revolver;" is a really hip-hop sounding tune; a collaboration with the up & rising DJ/producer Frank E (previous works with Flo Rida & T.I.) featuring Lil Wayne. The lyrics of the song is totally fun & catchy!

i m very surprise to see that neither "American Pie" nor "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" could made it to the list. i think that all the non-album or soundtrack singles are a crucial part of the celebration for Madonna's music. And the lack of ballads like "Rain" & "This Used To Be My Playground" although they can be found on an early Madonna's greatest ballads compilation "Something To Remember." Since now that the Warners era is coming to an end, i m pretty sure that more different greatest hits packages are to come in the next few years!

here's the 2nd version of the video. but unfortunately, the Benny Benassi Remix Edit has been used again instead of the album version (aka Oakenfold Remix Edit). it won't be so hard to predict that either an offical or a fan made video will soon surface with the two version added together, and perhaps with the Oakenfold Remix!

So much has already been said about her sucess so far, and now the world is carefully watching her next move. The probability of hving another sucessful album after a mega-selling debut has been really really small. From Alanis Morrisette to Jewel; from Dido to Natasha Bedingfield.... But if one can break that "curse," they could probably conquer the world.... like Britney, Christina or J.Lo! So it's definitely one of the most critical moment to breakthrough in anyone's career with their 2nd effort.

All critics r giving Leona a big thumb-up so far, but i hv to say that the first follow-up single, "Happy;" isn't making me so happy at all. I really do not see the word "hit" written anywhere at all. Not even one of Ryan Teddler's best either. It is only an okay ballad, hopefully my feeling could grow. U'll be the judge too here!

C'mon, Leona! U can do better! & i'll be waiting...
